Home & Living

Supported Independent Living.

Support in your home should strengthen choice, confidence and participation. AMA works with each participant to build consistent daily support around the life they want to lead.

What SIL can include

Daily support that works with your routines.

SIL generally suits people who need support or supervision across 24 hours, including overnight. The exact mix depends on the participant’s plan, living arrangement, assessed needs and goals. If support is needed for only part of the day, Core Supports may be a better starting point.

01

Personal routines

Respectful assistance with personal care, morning and evening routines, and day-to-day wellbeing.

02

Home participation

Support with meal preparation, household tasks and taking an active role in the home.

03

Community connection

Planning and support to attend appointments, activities and meaningful community participation.

04

Building independence

Consistent practice of practical skills, decision-making and routines aligned with personal goals.

Why AMA for SIL

A home should still feel like the participant’s home.

The difference is not simply having workers present. It is whether people feel respected, know what to expect and still have room to live in their own way.

  • Choice stays visible

Daily decisions, routines and goals are shaped around the participant’s preferences.

  • Consistency is planned

Communication, routines, risks and expectations are made clear for the support team.

  • Human care stays present

Workers allow time, notice changes and respect privacy, personal space and quiet moments.

Honest service matching: support needs, risks, funding, compatibility and availability are reviewed before AMA confirms fit.
